The American Foundation for Addiction Research awards educational grants and research grants. The range for an educational grant is $5,000 to $25,000. The range for research grants is $10,000 - $175,000. Grants are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Applicants will be notified in 90 days if they are accepted.
Grant proposals from both institutions and individuals will be considered. Applications may be submitted by domestic for-profit and non-profit organizations, public and private institutions (such as universities, colleges, hospitals, laboratories), units of state and local government, and eligible agencies of the Federal government. Unsolicited proposals will be accepted.
If human subjects are involved in the research project, applicants must be associated with an organization which has a human subjects review committee.
