AFAR Coalition of Sex and Porn Addiction Treatment Leaders

Sex addiction will not be recognized by accident.
It will be understood because we organize.

The Coalition of Sex & Porn Addiction Treatment Leaders is a national network of programs and clinicians working together to advance recognition, research, ethical care, and access to treatment. By aligning our voices, data, and expertise, we strengthen the credibility of the field and accelerate progress that no single program can achieve alone.

Why Join

Members participate because collaboration creates a measurable impact. Coalition participation provides:

  • A unified professional voice influencing recognition, policy, and research priorities

  • Increased visibility and credibility through alignment with national leaders

  • Opportunities to shape standards and best practices across the field

  • Strategic collaboration with treatment centers, clinicians, and researchers

  • Early access to initiatives, partnerships, and field-advancing projects

This is not a passive membership. It is a working alliance for those who want to help shape the field's future.

Our Purpose

We exist to move the field forward through coordination rather than fragmentation. Together, we work to:

  • Advance scientific and clinical understanding

  • Strengthen professional legitimacy

  • Expand access to ethical, evidence-informed care

  • Support long-term recognition efforts

Shared Commitment

Coalition members affirm a shared commitment to professional integrity, evidence-informed practice, and ethical care. This alignment ensures the Coalition represents programs dedicated to responsible, clinically sound treatment approaches.
