AFAR’s Summit Group provides a safe, confidential space for individuals who need privacy in their recovery—especially those whose public profile, profession, or community visibility makes local meetings and groups difficult or unsafe. Participants actively engage in their recovery work, receive education and guidance from respected leaders in the sex and love addiction field, and connect with a true peer group for support and accountability. Developed by Dr. Patrick Carnes and led by prominent, trusted therapists, this advanced Recovery Retreat series is designed for individuals with established recovery and/or their partners. The program includes one 3-day in-person retreat each quarter, plus biweekly Zoom check-in meetings. Retreats focus on the core principles of daily living shared across 12-Step Recovery programs and underlying the 12 Steps and 12 Traditions—helping you deepen your recovery, live the values behind the Steps, and build an essential skill set for everyday life.
