Recovery spaces designed for people who need something different

Finding the right recovery community is not always simple.

For some people, professional roles, visibility, privacy concerns, or their own work in the recovery field can make traditional support spaces difficult to navigate.

AFAR has developed specialized recovery communities designed around some of those realities.

Man video chats with six smiling men on a laptop in a sunlit living room; a book reads Recovery, growth, hope.

The Summit Group provides a confidential recovery community for executives, public figures, prominent professionals, and others for whom visibility and privacy can create barriers to participating in traditional recovery groups. Summit is now fully virtual, making participation more accessible regardless of location. Members receive peer connection as well as education and guidance from experienced leaders in sex, pornography, and love addiction and betrayal trauma who are also in recovery themselves.

Healers Recovery is designed for therapists and other mental health professionals who are themselves in recovery. It provides a place to step outside the professional role and connect with peers who understand the experience of helping others while continuing to tend to their own recovery.

Restoration Circle creates a dedicated community for professionals navigating their own experiences of betrayal trauma, with opportunities for connection, reflection, and support among peers who understand that intersection personally and professionally.

Client referrals are welcome.

If you are a clinician working with someone who may benefit from one of these communities—or if one of these spaces may be appropriate for you—we would be glad to talk with you about the best fit.
